The narcissist spends endless hours bragging about his genius and the cesspool of stupidity in which the rest of us exist. He once explained to me that if he told himself something enough times, it would become real.
While I understand the benefits of positive affirmations, they don’t change falsities into truth. I can still picture the narcissist sitting there telling himself he is a genius, an innocent victim, and an excellent father, but that doesn’t make it so.
You are who you are, and you did what you did. Nothing you say or think will alter that until you take responsibility for your actions and strive for change.
Very true…

Holy Toledo after 13 years of marriage I found out the entire thing was a lie. I wasn’t his first wife I was his third. One he married the same day as I not same year but same day. I’m on the phone with him looking at this marriage certificate he denies ever knowing this person 6 times then says oh ya it’s all
Coming back to me now. She held me prisoner for two years and I vowed to completely forget about her and I did until just now after you said her name over and over. Then asks me haven’t you ever done that? I replied no your bags are on the porch and that was the last day he was ever in my house again

They always end up making themselves out to be the victim. Pitiful, really.
