Stop the Chatter

The incessant chatter in my head drowns out intuition and blurs truth from reality. Quieting the negative voice and focusing on the moment reveals the beauty life has to offer. Problems and strife still abound, but the gut-wrenching dread is now calmness and gratitude. Healing is at hand, and the future holds promise as the battle to stop the chatter rages on.

Abuse is an unfortunate reality in this world and is more than physical assault. The invisible trauma we suffer can result in chronic illness, which is a relentless beast gnawing away at the soundness of mind. Education and support from others are vital in the healing journey.

  1. Amen sista! We’ll that’s my initial reaction…

That one voice of the soul, that single positive directioneering Spirit, that’s all we need. Leave all other voices behind.

  2. It’s serendipitous that you posted this right now. 🙂 I am working on this myself at present. For me it is a way to walk free from enormous injustices I have suffered. I have processed them, and understood them as best I can. Now it is time to go free, stop obsessing about them. I think I have found a helpful tool to work on this as the thoughts come up, and I was thinking about writing about that. I think I will! Thanks for reminding me what I have to gain by my freedom from the very painful inner chatter! I’m inspired.

  3. Beautifully written. I too have negative voices that mock me and scream at me. STill working on chasing them away for good. Writing helps so much. Praying helps me more. Time to move on! Thank you for this lovely post as a reminder and inspiration.
