Self-Love

Without self-love, we accept whatever others have to give and fail to see the masks of love.  Too many offer the idea of love without actually loving.  When we don’t care enough for ourselves, we fall prey to those parasites who live in chaos and conflict all the while confessing to love.  Without personal peace and acceptance, we are unable to love others truly.

  1. I’ve come across individuals, who through upbringing, were taught to accept others with whom was shared the same opinion, but not to think to love themselves. This non-love bars the way for upgrades and their ability to accept acceptance.
It can feel strange, but in order to really love or become, one must accept and love oneself, and be genuine in doing so.

  2. so many view this as moving from selfless to selfish. In fact I view the concept of caring more about loving you in lieu of the egocentric narcissist approach of waiting for others to love you as a huge step in our change. And until we change, nothing changes. Wonderful post and blog by the way. I am a fan

  3. “Too many offer the idea of love without actually loving.”

that cuts to the core if it. Even if someone is not cruel or abusive by nature (namely parents and partners) they will offer suggestions under the guise of love. “Maybe you should change careers, maybe you should lose a few pounds- I only care about you.”

  4. Hi, really appreciate you following my blog, I’m new to it so any tips would be gratefully received.
Your post on self-love resonates with me. For too long I have been a people pleaser more concerned with other people’s needs than my own. I have recently come to realise that in order to live a fulfilling life I need to show myself the same love and care that I do to others.
