The road to healing is full of bumps, potholes, and detours. Some days it feels as if I will never make it to my destination, and the effort is futile. I find myself exhausted by devastating setbacks and crushed by the weight of the baggage I carry.
As I continue to move forward despite the obstacles in my path, I find that no matter how small a step I take, it adds to the overall distance covered. Every inch is progress, and it all adds up in the end. Not every mile marker will come quickly, and I’m sure I will lose hope again, but only momentarily. I understand now that the road to healing is not linear, and the ups and downs are part of the journey.
Yes! I love this post! So true. Thanks for sharing ☺

It’s all a dance. When we stop fighting the bumps and instead dance with them moving back and forth, we grow. Sending loving vibes Sara – know that you are on YOUR WAY.

That is one of the biggest lessons I have learned during my healing journey. The road is never linear. Great post!

Healing… Life in general is like that. It can be good and bad, up and down, but I’ve seen there’s not a moment that God hadn’t known of or seen, I hope you find comfort to know if there is a Creator God, He lovingly watches over people as you and me. Take care, God bless 💖

Ups and downs are better than straying detours and side-paths, staying focused on what is important is key.

My comment kind of feels like I simplified things, and I know these things are never simple. I think it’s probably one of my newer coping mechanisms.

I find my wellbeing is like this: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 4 – 5 – 2 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 2 – 2 – 3 – 6 – 7 – 8- 9 – 2 – 2 – 2 -3 – 7 – 8 – and so on. No matter how bad it gets, it never goes back to square one because the more you know what is going on and develop strategies to cope, the more you can continue the lifelong healing journey.
I share much with you Sara and send you healing energies.

That first step is so important as is continuing on the road. It is a lifelong endeavor.

Healing to me is more of an intersection between the linear and what I call ‘the depth of now’ – what we bring with all our depth of experience to the present moment. How brave you are to try to see your situation in a new light by embracing it and sharing it with others so that they also feel less alone. Courage is living life from the inside out and I see a lot of courage in your words. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

Exactly..!! This is exactly how healing goes, we keep swinging between feeling low and feeling better..

I feel you on that! It’s okay to have bad days sometimes because they make us appreciate the good and they make us stronger ❤
