Facing the Memory

Numbness prevailed for many years before I was forced to confront what happened entirely. I had a desperate desire for a memory delete button to get rid of all the garbage in my brain.

Facing the reality of my past experiences is necessary for me to continue healing and move on. Sometimes a buried memory will reveal itself, shaking my damaged foundation, but I understand the trembling is essential.

Moving onward each day, not knowing how long the journey will take, which is itself, an incredible achievement.

  2. Thanks for posting this. After 20 years since I recovered memories of my child abuse, I still uncover hidden ones. I actively dig them up to bring that part of my mind hone. It can take a long time to heal it, but each healing improves life.

  3. I saw something on The Spartan Life Coach’s You Tube about this guy who practices NLP. He was giving a demonstration of NLP. It had basically involved rewinding the traumatic memory. You start at the end of the incident and work back to the beginning, It cleared my traumatic memory in an instant.
