I Wear My Sunglasses Inside

 I wear my sunglasses inside
So I can so I can
Protect my eyes from blinding rays
And I wear my sunglasses inside
So I can so I can
Function in some normal kind of way

Abuse is an unfortunate reality in this world and is more than physical assault. The invisible trauma we suffer can result in chronic illness, which is a relentless beast gnawing away at the soundness of mind. Education and support from others are vital in the healing journey.

  1. I used to get severe debilitating migraines that left me too disabled to do my job. The symptoms would last days or weeks. Then I happened to access treatment for a different problem but the practitioner asked for a thorough health report and was soon treating the migraines as well. He was a chiropractor who was also an NIS practitioner. That is, Neuro Integration System. I had four treatments to clear everything. Since then, over 2 years ago, I have only had mild symptoms for less than a day about five times over a year. It may not work for everybody, I know we’re all different, but it worked for me. I am so grateful, I was at the end of my tether. I write this in the off-chance this information may be useful to someone else.
