This recent struggle is overwhelming and at times, unbearable. It feels like running a marathon and sensing the finish line is within reach, but suddenly being forced to run with two broken legs. It is the exhaustion setting in along with the absence of rest that weighs so heavily on the body and mind.
There is no option to quit. There is no option for failure. I will crawl if I must, dragging these broken and bloody legs behind me to claim the prize – healing, rest, and, most of all, peace.
Hope you feel better

I remember once some years ago, I was seeing a psychiatrist. He was only mildly helpful – I doubt he had even heard of Complex-PTSD – but one time he said to me, “I wish I could refer you to a sanatorium in the Swiss Alps to get some rest.” I took it as well-meaning, probably “spa retreat” would have sounded better, but I like the sentiment. It is what I wish for you ā¤

While you are going through these struggles, at least you remember to continue to move forward. I’m sure in the end, you’ll gain knowledge and hopefully be stronger when this is over. Just keep in mind that forward movement is the only way to go.

I am sorry to hear of these struggles. I like your image of “Sensing the finish line” – because you are a winner. These positive thoughts are pushing you. You have that steel coat and super woman ethic of “fail we will not” . I will join you

Most days I have trouble seeing myself as strong, but some days – usually when I am being tested, the strength seems to surround me. It is motivation to complete the marathon.

YOU WILL GET THERE. I know it feels impossibly far away, but all the small steps forward you are taking ARE adding up. You’ve got this!
Someday this will be in your past and you’ll look back with disbelief when you think of what you made it through.
You not only can do it… You are doing it. It’s wonderful and magical. Bravo to you.
